About 300 new workers were employed in the authorities of one of the poorest municipalities in Montenegro in less than a year, something that even much more developed municipalities cannot boast of. During the previous government, slightly more than 200 people were employed in the local administration, and now there are 460. In that period, despite numerous promises, not a single production plant was opened.
The municipality of Rožaje and public companies and institutions founded by SO have announced 35 more job vacancies for the recruitment of new employees in the last twenty days. Including earlier ads, at the expense of the local budget, in the last nine months, based on data from the website of the Employment Service and the Tax Administration, at least 150 people have been defrauded.
Informed sources of "Vijesti" claim that at least 100 more workers are working illegally, for which the vacancies will be announced in a timely manner.
Most of the new employees are from the ranks of the Bosniak Party, while a small number of those hired are members of the coalition SDP.
"Together with volunteers and interns, we made it possible for a total of about 300 mostly young people to finally work and make a living," said the BS official.
It is projected that around 4 million euros will be poured into the local coffers this year, of which one million should be spent on capital investments. About 8 million euros are earmarked for salaries and employee contributions, as in previous years.
Until yesterday, the administration of Rozaj did not answer whether there will be enough money in the budget for all employees in the local administration. The Municipality did not want to present official data on the number of new hires and plans for future employment.
For the needs of the newly hired staff, the local administration rented a dozen offices, mostly in the "Agrobisernica" building. These days, offices are also being equipped in the building of the former Military Department. It is not known how much it will cost to rent the premises.
"The procedure of organizing services and hiring workers according to the new systematization and organization is underway, you will be informed in a timely manner about the number of advertisements and the hiring of workers. You will receive answers to the questions by the end of April, when we expect to finalize the contracts with the employees and the rental of additional premises for the work of our services. We ask for your patience, so that you have accurate data that you can use to inform the public," reads the reply from the second of April sent to "Vijesta" by the spokesperson of the Municipality, Mirela Avdić.
The Turks gave up the chocolate factory
Investments, promised in the pre-election campaign, which were supposed to create new jobs, were also absent.
The source "Vijesti" from the Bosniak Party claims that hundreds of projects have been done, but that for now only three thousand euros have been received for the conceptual solution "Historical and Cultural Center Ganića Kula", whose implementation is debatable due to unresolved property and legal relations.
"We planned to open a chocolate factory soon, for which we secured an investor from Turkey, who gave up the investment a few days ago. "The privatization of several "Upper Ibar" plants, for which the tender lasts until June 19, is also questionable, because there was no interest from the investors we were counting on," said that Bosniak Party official.
