SNP: Devastating work of the authorities in Gusinje

The results of the government in Gusinje, led by the DPS, are more than devastating a year after its constitution, announced the SNP.

The government there failed to respond to the needs of the people of Gusinje, to create conditions for the development of the municipality, to employ young and educated personnel and to prevent emigration, said the president of the OO SNP of Gusinje, Mihailo Jovović.

Rural areas in the territory of the municipality are, as stated in the announcement, almost deserted, and young people leave their homeland every day, because they do not see the prospect of survival in this area.

"While all this is happening, the municipal leaders neither say anything nor do anything to promote such a development of the situation, allocating only 2015 euros in the municipal budget for 8.000 for rural areas," said Jovović.

Jovović also notes that the Gusinje budget for 2015, of less than 700.000 euros, is largely based on funds from the Equalization Fund, which is used for financial balancing of the least developed municipalities.

The head of the Gusinja SNP complained that the composition of the municipal administration does not reflect the national and religious structure of the population and is the result of "rotten compromises at the level of complex relations in the DPS-SDP-BS coalition itself at the state level, as well as in the even more complex, ineffective DPS-SDP- BS-Albanska lista-DUA coalition at the local level".
