The Government of Montenegro will provide the President with another 25 euros from the budget reserve, so that he can distribute state decorations. As stated in yesterday's Government decision, President Milo Đukanovca's cabinet requested additional funds in order to comply with the Law on State Decorations and Recognitions.
"Taking into account the necessity of quickly completing a number of decorations, the production of which takes about 90 days, so that the Art Foundry of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, as the executor of the work, could pay an advance of 50 percent of the funds, the Ministry of Finance agrees with the aforementioned redirection," the government's decision reads. .
In July, the government submitted an amendment to the rebalancing of this year's budget, which proposed an increase in the amount for gross salaries in the office of the president of the state by 155 thousand euros, even though the recommendations of international institutions to reduce expenses and the number of employees in the public sector in order to put the growing public debt under control. With an additional 155 thousand, the total budget of that consumer unit reached the amount of 994 thousand euros. At that time, it was decided to reduce funds at the consumer unit of the Property Administration by 155 thousand euros. In August, the administration renovated the facade and painted the corridors in the building of the President of Montenegro, and the total value of the works was 85 thousand euros.
