The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is not offering itself to the Bosniak Party (BS), but it is not running away from joint responsibility and the complex situation in the Municipality of Rožaje, said Tarzan Milošević, political director of the DPS.
Milošević said this to "Vijesta" in response to the question of whether he expects BS in Rožaje to finally start the process of including DPS in power in Rožaje, for which the party headed by Rafet Husović does not need a coalition partner. Despite the conquest of absolute power in Rožaje,
At the end of June, the BS presidency offered a coalition to the DPS and the Social Democrats (SD) as partners at the state level, but part of the Rožaj BS committee, headed by President Rahman Husović, opposed the sharing of absolute power in Rožaj. Rahman Husović, despite the call for a coalition sent by the party's presidency to DPS and SD, publicly announced that there will be no negotiations with those parties on the division of power in Rožaje, stating that he "does not rule out the possibility of a coalition to work on projects that should are realized", and that he did not invite anyone to the coalition.
Earlier in the local parliament, DPS supported the candidate BS for the President of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly, as well as the re-election of Ejup Nurković as mayor, which was interpreted by the public as a step towards the division of power. Since then, Rahman Husović has not scheduled a session of the BS municipal board at which a team was to be chosen that would negotiate with partners at the state level on forming a coalition in Rožaje.
"BS has enough mandates, I repeat once again, they decide on that. "We are not offering ourselves at all, and we said that we are not running away from joint responsibility, considering the complex situation in the municipality of Rožaje," Milošević told "Vijesti".
MP of BS and member of the presidency that invited DPS to the coalition, Ervin Ibrahimović says that it is not definite that an agreement will not be reached. "I am a member of the presidency, we made a recommendation. As a legalist, I will follow the presidency's recommendation, nothing is definitive," Ibrahimović said.
After the local elections in 11 municipalities where the parties in power and at the state level triumphed, SD Vice President Damir Šehović said that the ruling coalition should form a post-election alliance in all municipalities.
"I expect such an approach to be demonstrated by the DPS in Podgorica, the SD in Plav and the Bosniak Party in Rozaje," Šehović said at the time. Ibrahimović says that he expects that the coalition will be discussed again. "I think that when the best time for that comes, they will sit down at the table and look at what the best options are, I can't tell you anything in detail," said the BS deputy.
