The Parliament of Montenegro adopted the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on the National Security Agency, which was marked as key for the reform of the security sector and approximation to NATO standards.
The amendments initiated by the DPS and accepted by the Government have become an integral part of the law and concern the retirement of officials who will reach the age of 50 by May 1. in that way and under the favorable conditions, which they get by adopting the law, the problem of compromised officials should be solved.
SDP's amendments to the Law Amendment Proposal, which provided for the introduction of the position of deputy in the ANB, did not receive a majority. Also, the opposition's amendments concerning greater control over the application of secret surveillance measures and the authorization of ANB officials were not supported.
