"Citizens of Rožaj express their concern for the mental state of the officials of the opposition Democratic Party of Socialists in our city, after all the verbal attacks on us, which the former government put out to the public in the form of announcements, through various newspapers," according to the Rožaj board of the Bosniak Party (BS).
The background of such action, they pointed out from the local BS, is the desecration of the new government and damage to the reputation of the party which "thanks to democracy, the voice and will of the people has become the leading political party" in the city under Hajlo.
"Even though we are used to this kind of treatment, we are still concerned about their malice and the heat they get into with a lot of enthusiasm. The former government did not create an environment for living and working for our citizens because it unconscionably spent the Municipality's funds, while only loyal members of the DPS benefited."
According to BS, the new government overcame this practice and already in the first six months employed members of the "Orthodox religion, Albanian nationality and persons with disabilities, which represents only the first phase of equal representation of minorities and persons with disabilities, and the next steps will be their greater participation in local self-government bodies".
"BS in Rožaje aims to ensure the livelihood of all citizens, in order to stop population migration and create a better environment for the life of our citizens. The previous steps of the local government have already received the attention of investors, and we expect that by the end of this year, more than 500 of our citizens will surely get a job. The management is working intensively on long-term projects, and the effects will be evident by the end of this year."
According to the BS, the former local government, with its actions, drove both investors and citizens from Rožaj, "presenting our Municipality as a social hole that always expects help and charity from Podgorica".
"We are working intensively on the development of projects that are feasible and have already received the green light from EU funds and our partners from Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Rojaj diaspora," announced BS.
