The vice-president of the Municipal Board (OO) and the head of the committee club of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) in the Kolašin parliament, Vladimir Martinović, has resigned from membership and all functions in that party. Martinović is also a member of the Main Board of the party.
"As I said before and on the day of the Congress, there is no strong party without a strong leader. In support of the fact that I was unfortunately right, the session of the Main Board (GO) of the SNP, where it was proven that Srđan Milić does not have the political ability to lead the party on the right path, also testifies. I must point out that the SNP has the most honorable and honest membership, but not the president it deserves," said Martinović at the press conference.
Martinović said that he will retain his mandate in the Municipal Assembly (SO).
"The citizens of Kolašin know that I deserved that mandate and that it belongs to me by force of law. Honestly, I will keep the mandate also because I would not like it to belong to someone who would try to cheat the will of the voters expressed on May 25. However, I want and to say that my mandate will never be to support the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) or the Group of Voters (GB)," he said.
According to him, the decision that he or possibly one of his previous party colleagues leave the SNP cannot possibly affect the Kolašin ruling coalition.
He said that "he will continue his political involvement exclusively on the path that Aleksa Bečić will continue." Martinović thanked the members of the OO and President Đur Milošević "for correct cooperation and understanding".
In addition to Martinović, member of the OO Petko Bakić and president of the youth association of that party in Kolašin, Vladan Rakočević, also left the SNP.
Aleksa Bečić left the SNP after the session of the Main Board, which started a series of resignations from the party.
Yesterday, Zdenka Popović and 25 youth representatives who led the campaign in Podgorica also left the party, and Velizar Kaluđerović said that he had ended cooperation with Milić forever.
