Even today, the Parliament of Montenegro has shown that it is a degraded and delegitimized institution whose only goal is for the pawns of the government sitting there to approve all criminal and scandalous moves by the Government, the Prime Minister and the President of the State, said the Citizens' Movement URA today.
They communicated it reacting to the rejection of the proposal for the control hearing of the head of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office, the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Police Directorate and the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, regarding the evidence presented and communicated by the owner of the Atlas Group, Duško Knežević, and by the Parliamentary Security Committee.
"Does anyone in Montenegro today have the illusion that the president of that committee, Obrad Mišo Stanišić, can act independently as a deputy, as well as his colleagues Marta Šćepanović or Luiđ Škrelja. "Let the Montenegrin public judge whether such individuals can build serious institutions of a modern European state and make any decisions on which the lives of all Montenegrin citizens depend," they state.
They claim that today the Parliament once again trampled on the Constitution of Montenegro and that it did not allow the representatives of the prosecution and state authorities dealing with the investigation of crime and corruption to submit a report on their work regarding the "Envelope" affair.
"Džabe Obrad Mišo Stanišić says that everything is premature when the fire is under his boss's feet, but they pretend not to see it. When you appear on the video, Mr. Stanisic, then the "Envelope" will not be a fool's errand for you. Džabe Luiđ Škrelja makes a judgment that he appreciates that something is "childish and foolish", probably unconsciously drawing his political portrait", added URE.
From this party, they conclude that the Parliament of Montenegro is today, "without any dilemma, an institution without credibility and basic functions" and that no representative of the opposition should participate in it.
