The municipal committee of the Bosniak Party (BS) in Petnjica made a decision last night to ask the party's Presidency for consent to dissolve the coalition with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

At the same time, the Petnji Committee of BS requested the consent of the Presidency to form a new ruling coalition in the local parliament with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Socialist People's Party (SNP).

The President of the Municipal Board and the President of the Municipal Assembly, Adnan Muhović, told the "News" that this is a party procedure that must be respected.

"We have already formed a team for negotiations with the SDP and the SNP, and we have to wait for the presidency to give us its consent at the session that will be held on Sunday, and then make the final decision," Muhović said.

In the local elections held in mid-November last year in the newly formed municipality of Petnjica, DPS entered the local parliament with fifteen mandates and BS with four mandates, and these two parties formed a post-election coalition.

In the opposition benches were the SDP with 11, as well as the SNP with one councilor.

Several representatives of BS, SDP and SNP, who are councilors in the Municipal Assembly, recently told "Vijesti" that the local government in this town did not function properly.

Last Sunday, Muhović spoke in Berane with SNP president Srđan Milić about creating a new coalition.
