The owners of the largest part of real estate in Atlas Capital Plaza, where a square meter of space costs between 3.000 and 5.000 euros, are Montenegrin "sheikhs", closely related to the family of the president of DPS, Milo Đukanović, the research team of Democratic Montenegro found.
The Democrats announced at the press conference that they obtained information about the owners of real estate in the most luxurious residential and commercial complex in Podgorica by looking at the official documents of the Real Estate Administration.
Demokrat representative Momčilo Leković said that one of the tenants of Capital Plaza is Vladan Ivanović, the brother of Miodrag Ivanović, the godfather of Aco Đukanović, who owns an apartment of 101 square meters.
A villa of about 2.000 square meters was built on Vladan Ivanović's plot in Gorica, which Duško Knežević claims is actually owned by Milo Đukanović. Vladan's brother Miodrag, as announced by Leković, along with Ana Đukanović and Oleg Obradović, is known as one of the key actors in the "Telekom" affair.
"The fact that he knew how to get his godfather Aco Đukanović in trouble is also confirmed by the fact that, in addition to EPCG, with 900.000 euros, he was the largest participant in the recapitalization of Prva banka, which at one time the Government of Montenegro saved from collapse with citizens' money," Leković pointed out.
He announced that the largest part of business premises in Capital Plaza, about 30.000 square meters, is owned by the company "Capital Plaza", whose founder is the company "Acosta Investment Limited", registered in the British Virgin Islands.
"The CEO of Capital Plaza is Filip Knežević, the godfather of Đukanović's cousin, Edin Kolarević. "This person is mentioned in the text of the Center for Investigative Journalism from two years ago as a representative of a phantom company from Cyprus, through which suspicious transactions were carried out for the account of Prva banka Aco Đukanović," said Leković.
He asked how a large number of high-ranking officials of the DPS did not mind the nine-year, according to the Prosecutor's Office, Duško Knežević's illegal business, so they either worked as lecturers or obtained doctorates at his university, such as today's governor of the CBCG, Radoj Žugić.
"Neither did Žugić's family stay silent on real estate in Atlas Capital. His uncle's brother is the owner of the company "Stadion doo" from Podgorica, which owns around 300 square meters of real estate in this building - an apartment of 272 square meters and four garage spaces. At the same time, the mentioned company has a share in the ownership structure of Prva banka", emphasized Leković.
Democrat MP Danilo Saranović assessed that the presented data show that "the criminal octopus legalized money acquired through a wide range of illegal activities by buying or building real estate in the most attractive locations in Podgorica and throughout Montenegro."
Democrat MP Zdenka Popović said that Đukanović should have resigned due to the scandal of which he is the actor.
"As a statesman, you made a fool of yourself, because you do not know the law you are referring to, or you know, but you pretend not to know, that it is forbidden for any legal or physical person to donate the amount of 100.000 euros to a party," Popović said. .
She asked Đukanović why, with so many generous donors, he allowed the poor from Konik and Vrel Ribnički, who barely make ends meet, to pay donations of 2.000 euros each:
"It is obviously a scheme and a way to hide who are the rich donors who, as you say, had to pay donations to DPS on a self-interested voluntary basis." Otherwise, according to your interpretation, they would be out of business".
Popović said that Đukanović's attempt to avoid any connection with the house next to Villa Gorica of 2.000 square meters is "shameful", to say that "now it is not his, and maybe it will be one day when he valorizes the real estate at his disposal".
"It is scandalous that in Montenegro, where citizens live on the brink of existence, Đukanović can provide tens of millions of euros for a house of 2.000 square meters," said Popović.
