Vujanović told Krivokapić not to insult him anymore

The President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović, said that he told Ranko Krivokapić not to insult him anymore.

Vujanović and the President of the Assembly met at a meeting of the DPS and SDP, a few days after Krivokapić's statement that the President should account for KAP.

"No one in Montenegro has the right to insult me. "I have never offended anyone in Montenegro, neither in the function of the government, nor the opposition, nor citizens," said Vujanović.

He said this in Danilovgrad, after the solemn session of the Danilovgrad Municipal Council that was held on the occasion of the Municipality Day.

The president of the state denied the report of the tabloid "Informer" that he wanted to beat Krivokapić at the session of the Defense and Security Council and that he had a heated argument with him on the subject of "Jugopetrol".

"I never wanted to beat anyone in my life, not even the President of the Parliament... It is true that we had a polemic that was harsh, but I would say within the limits of correctness, which is appropriate for a polemic between the President of the State and the President of the Parliament. "We had that polemic at the meeting of DPS and SDP, where development programs were discussed, on which the future of Montenegro depends," Vujanović said.

The president of the country explained that he and Krivokapić "had different experiences" regarding the privatization of Kraljičina plaža in Dubovica and the extension of the concession to Aman Resort.

Vujanović pointed out that citizens know that he and Krivokapić differ on many issues.

"I believed and still believe that Emirates should not be expelled from Montenegro, that Aman Resort should not be expelled, and that no one should be expelled who invested according to the legal procedure in Montenegro. He has a different view. In his answer, he said that I should account for the financial hoard that was in KAP. I have never considered that there was financial looting in KAP", Vujanović said.

He said that the Government preserved the Combine and that he is proud of what was done in KAP during the time he was Prime Minister.

"I told him that in his opposition to me, he was not insulting me personally, because I considered such a statement to be a personal insult. On that line, we had a polemic that was possibly a little sharp, but very fair and civilized," said Vujanović, adding that I expect it to be "an excess or an exception" and that Krivokapić will no longer insult him.
