Ten thousand citizens, according to the estimates of the organizers, demanded the resignation of the leaders of the state and the Prosecutor's Office at last night's protest and said that the only institution they trust is "the street".
The protest gathering, which was held under the slogan "97.000 resist", demanded the immediate and irrevocable resignation of the President of the State and Government, Milo Đukanović and Duško Marković, the Supreme State Prosecutor (VDT) Ivica Stanković, the Special State Prosecutor (SDT) Milivoj Katnić and Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) Sreten Radonjić.

The citizens, who carried the banners "We are the country", "Without freedom there is no country", "Freedom for the people - stop crime", "Milo, do they know at home that you are a starlet?", "Rebellion"... started a protest walk in front of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office, and then continued past the institutions towards which the protest was directed - the building of the Central Bank of Montenegro, the Assembly, the President and the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS). During the protest walk, citizens chanted "Milo, thieves", "Everyone to the streets", "DPS thieves", "Resignation, "Milo, liars"... At the protest, which was organized on the occasion of "the loud silence of state institutions on the Envelope affair" ", there were also numerous representatives of opposition political parties.
The former official of the Liberal Alliance, Džemal Perović, told those gathered in front of the VDT that there is no "healthy tissue" in the government, stating that the only healthy tissue in Montenegrin society is at the protest.
"Should I tell you tonight the reasons why we should resist? "Do you need me to tell you that they came as hooligans of one policy, dragged Montenegro into the war, committed war crimes, smuggling, predatory privatizations and everything we have known for the past 30 years," Perović said.
He told the representatives of the government that "we are ashamed of their shame", while they rob, cheat, sell and buy us and "what is the saddest thing, they represent us in the world".
"It is important to tell Europe that they feel our shame, that they know that normal people live here. We do not expect them to impose European values on us. We have them, we are demonstrating them here tonight. We are fighting for human rights, freedom, security and dignity... Starting tonight, we are asserting ourselves as partners of Europe," said Perović.
One of the organizers of the protest, Jovan Gajević, in front of the President's building, said "that the time has come for action".
"We are normal, not them. They are the ones who have no sense of responsibility and public interest, not us. They are the ones who have no idea what they are doing, not us. They are the ones who lie, mock and slander themselves and the country they swear by, not us. They are the ones who steal from us, not us from them," Gajević said.
In front of the DPS headquarters, Miloš Krivokapić said "we have to fight for freedom, because we have a feudal system against us".
"Have you forgotten that Svetozar Marović admitted that he is the leader of a criminal organization, and now he is being treated in Belgrade bars. Confession of guilt turns out to be the best legal remedy in Montenegro. Is this proof that reality mocks reason and that the judiciary is a corpse?" said Krivokapić.
He pointed out that, according to the "one works, four votes" system, there are over 700 employees in the Radio and Television of Montenegro, the Railways, hundreds of employees in the Central Bank, Water Supply, Cleanliness, Airports, Electric Power Industry... Krivokapić emphasized that there more than 97.000 reasons why the government must go and why a fundamental change of the system is necessary, along with a change of government.
After his return, Denis Mekić addressed the gathered in front of the VDT, who said that the regime led to the downfall of the north of Montenegro, which was helped by the DPS "satellites" - representatives of the Bosniak Party and other "satellite parties".
"No matter how many of us there are tomorrow in the Bar, next Saturday in Ulica slobode... let's not forget why we are doing this. Let them know, there are 10.000 of us here today. We will be persistent... As long as it takes, we will return to our Freedom Street", Mekić said.
Gajević: We demand that the leaders answer for their actions
Gajević pointed out that the representatives of the government are doing so well in replacing theses that the people of Montenegro have been asking themselves for 30 years if they are normal.
“Well, we did. But we won't be, if we don't use this opportunity to once and for all change the rotten system in which we are wasting years," Gajević pointed out.
He emphasized that the Protestants demand that the leaders answer for their actions "as every citizen would have to according to justice":
"We can only give them what they deserve. They all deserve to disappear from our public life and stop polluting society and never again get the right to take away the freedom of any citizen".
They demanded the fall of the entire government
The protest rally, which was organized yesterday in Zeta by Democratic Montenegro, Demos, the Montenegrin Party, independent intellectuals and free citizens, also demanded fundamental changes in the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the State Election Commission, RTCG, the Central Bank, the prosecution and the judiciary. .
"We are asking for the downfall of the entire executive branch along with the dictator. Only after that we can talk about looking for modalities for fair and free local, parliamentary and presidential elections, and all in one day," said the leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić.
He pointed out from the protest, which was attended by several hundred people, that "there are enough of Đukanović, Barović, Marović, Mićunović, rigged trials, bloody pavements, beaten journalists and offshore companies".
Stating that the opposition must not attack each other, Bečić said that Đukanović was backed into a corner and that a great democratic civil rebellion was destroying both him and the "sick system of values he established".
The president of Demos, Miodrag Lekić, said that the "Koverat" affair shows the level of Skorojevics who are beyond legal control and beyond the control of society:
"The most terrible thing is that the "Envelope" affair is a light thing compared to everything else they do. We are all responsible because this can be seen as a defeat for the whole society. We want to believe that not everyone in government is corrupt, it will soon be seen if that is the case. Institutions have only one dilemma, whether they defend laws or crime".
