The President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović, congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his victory in the presidential elections in Turkey.
Vujanović, as announced by his cabinet, emphasized the special value of the victory, because the first president of Turkey was elected directly by the citizens.
He, as stated, expressed his respect for Erdogan for the strong contribution he had, as Prime Minister of Turkey, in establishing close and substantial relations between Montenegro and Turkey in all areas, especially in the sphere of economy.
"Recognizing from the numerous meetings he had with him Erdogan's willingness to improve relations with Montenegro, Vujanović conveyed assurances of our full openness to continue developing very intensive cooperation," the statement said.
