The head of the Islamic Community (IZ), Rifat Fejzić, believes that there is nothing controversial in the fact that he sent a letter of support to the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, before the elections in that country, and that he does not see on what basis someone would prohibit such a form of support.

"We have an excellent relationship with Turkey, above all with that group that helped a lot with the IZ in Montenegro, with a lot of projects. I don't know on what basis someone would forbid us to express our gratitude in that way," Fejzić told "Vijesta".

IZ sent a letter to Erdogan on the eve of the presidential elections in Turkey, and the letter of support was delivered on Fejzić's behalf by the professor of the "Mehmed Fatih" madrasa, Sadmir Hadžajlić.

On behalf of IZ Montenegro, he actively participates in Erdogan's election campaign.

"It is a way to express our gratitude towards that policy that was with us despite the great obligations, because it is not a small country, but a country that influences much larger flows. It is just one sign of our attention to all the good things they have done for the Islamic community", said Fejzic.
