The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Pljevlja is ready to form a government in that city with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Bosniak Party (BS), but is hesitant to sign a coalition agreement because negotiations on the formation of local governments in Bijelo Polje and Bar are pending. .
It is expected that the talks between DPS and SDP in those cities will be completed in seven days at the latest.
According to unofficial information, the SDP insists that the formation of the government in all three municipalities is resolved in a package, in order to put pressure on the DPS to accept the Social Democrats as coalition partners in Bijelo Polje and Bar, where there are certain disagreements, in contrast to Pljevlja, where the formation of the government of these two parties certain.
"Vijesti" has learned that the two parties have not yet agreed on the distribution of functions in the local administration, and in the meantime SDP has given up the position of vice president of the Municipality. In return, this party should, among others, have one secretary position, the position of manager of the Municipality, as well as the management of some of the public companies or institutions.
The SDP has one in the local parliament, and the coalition DPS and BS has the 17th mandate.
The SDP in Bar is seeking three more positions
According to the majority opinion of OO DPS in Bijelo Polje, BS should certainly be a coalition partner in Bijelo Polje, regardless of whether the previous coalition partner SDP will also be there. The president of OO DPS, Abaz Kujović, repeated his earlier statement that the party will take an official position after the submission of the offers of the two parties and their consideration at the session of the municipal board, which is expected in the coming days.
The president of OO BS, Rešad Sijarić, said that today, tomorrow at the latest, he will submit his proposal for a coalition agreement to the DPS, and reminded that they are looking for at least 10 percent participation in the government.
In Bar, according to "Vijesti" information so far, compared to what it had in the previous mandate of the Bar government, the SDP has increased its quota by three seats. These are allegedly the positions of the president and secretary of the SO, and the leadership position in the JP Sports Center, and this is not the end of the list of demands of the SDP, which, according to general evaluations, achieved the most impressive result in the eight mandates won in these elections.
