Husein Kurtagić, president of OO BS, was appointed as the new president of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly at today's constitutive session. He was supported by 20 of the 32 councilors present from the BS, SDP and BDZ, while the DPS councilors were against it.
The report of the Municipal Election Commission was also submitted at the local session. President Rafet Hajdarpašić informed the parliament that 21 people have the right to vote in Rožaje, of which 387 voters exercised their right to vote.
BDZ received 509 votes, i.e. one mandate, SDP 1 votes and four councilors, SNP 992 votes, DPS 107 votes and 5 councilor seats, and BS 002 votes, i.e. 12 councilors.
At today's meeting, the new government in Rožaje was formalized, which will consist of BS and SDP, which agreed on a post-election coalition.
The new president of the municipality will be from the BS, and the Montenegrin consul in Frankfurt Ervin Ibrahimović and Ejup Nurković are mentioned as the most serious candidates. As there are still applicants for that position, and in the BS days they fail to agree, sources close to the top of the party point out that a surprise is also possible, that is, that the new mayor will be a person whose name is not mentioned at the moment.
