"Rožaje is the bastion of the Bosniak Party (BS) and that's why on Sunday we should show our loyalty to the BS stronger than ever, because a vote for the BS is a vote for change. The Bosniak people and the BS built the independence of Montenegro in the referendum on May 21, I want on May 25 BS is building a multi-ethnic, civil Rožaj. You know very well that BS at the state level advocates for the representation of Bosniaks in the institutions of the system. From May 26, BS will also work on the representation of Albanians, Montenegrins, Serbs and others, to restore dignity and pride to Rožaj, which we had about thirty years ago," said Rafet Husović, holder of the BS list, in Rožaje.
He said that minority peoples are a solid support and foundation of independent Montenegro, and that BS is the pivot of government at the state level.
"We will connect the new government and local self-government with the Government of Montenegro, the diaspora, neighboring municipalities and countries across Europe stronger than ever. I use the opportunity to thank our diaspora for their support and promise them that they will be able to invest their capital in Rožaje. You will have a partner in the local government , be the first investors because you have been donors for 25 years," Husović said.
BS expects to win at least 20 mandates, after which it will "create a local government that will be accessible to all citizens, local communities, students, pensioners and persons with disabilities".

I expect the new mayor of Podgorica, Slavoljub Stijepović, to help Rožaje and return what Rožaje gave to Podgorica I promise you that Rožaje will establish a very good cooperation with Podgorica," said Husović.
He pointed out that BS has good cooperation with the Islamic Community (IZ), and that a strong Islamic community is a guarantee of the survival and stability of peace in Montenegro.
"Therefore, let's support a unified IZ. I call on a political group that will not win a single mandate, and given that most of those people participated in the project of creating BS, to return to BS after the elections, to return to BS after the elections, because they belong here. I call them to build a single IZ and the unity of Bosniaks together," Husović said.
Kurtagić: DPS made Rožaj the poorest municipality in Montenegro
The president of OO BS, Husein Kurtagić, said that it is not true what the political competitors are saying, that if DPS loses, they will also lose the civic Rožaje.
"I claim that if DPS loses, Bosniaks will win, Albanians will win, Montenegrins will win, Serbs will win," said Kurtagić.
According to him, the government headed by the DPS group from Rožaj has made Rožaj the poorest municipality in Montenegro.
"They caused more damage to the city than any natural disaster," Kurtagić said.
Councilor candidate Mirsad Azemović said that "the political competition tried by all means to stop the process of changes that started during the parliamentary elections".
"They have exercised power independently in Rožaje for over twenty years and would like to continue because they cannot give up the privileges they have created for themselves, all to the detriment of the citizens. It is our civic duty to remove them because, unlike them, we love Rožaje and our people," said Azemović.
