Bosniak Cultural Community (BKZ) Hazbije Kalača accused Rifat Fejzić, head of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, of having been politically engaged in the Bosniak Party (BS) for eight years and having a membership card of the party.
"It is well known to us that the first man of the Islamic Community signed the BS application form in front of one of the founders of the BKZ, that since then he has actively worked for the interests of this party, and that he actively participates as its member even today, abusing his position as well as all other institutions of the IZ in Montenegro", it is stated in the letter of the Information Service of BKZ in Montenegro.
According to Vijesti sources, Fejzić signed the BS accession papers before the 2006 referendum at the BS headquarters in Rožaj.
Fejzic denied membership in any political party.
"I didn't sign the application form for any party, and I don't know if someone else did it on my behalf, as there were cases. As the president of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, I am not a member of any party," Fejzić told "Vijesta", denying that he propagated BS politics in mosques:
"I didn't mention any party, and how anyone understands mosque speeches is his business."
Fejzić said that he will "remove Ahmadiyya" if he decides to engage in politics. When asked if he intends to resign from his religious position and engage in politics, Fejzić replied that he is "a relatively young man and does not know what time will bring."
BS President Rafet Husović said that Fejzić was never a member of his party, stating that he is friends with the president, but that does not mean that the religious leader is promoting him.
"Fejzić never signed the application form and he is not in our records of members and sympathizers. He attended our congress, but he was also at meetings organized by the SNP, so that does not make him their member," Husović told "Vijesta".
In his public appearances, Reis did not hide his good relations with the leaders of the Bosniak Party, Husović and Vice President Suljo Mustafić.
