The Party of United Pensioners and Disabled People of Montenegro has prepared a Bill on Amendments to the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, in which it is proposed that it be a separate body.
"For several years, numerous NGOs have been asking that the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities be formed as a separate legal entity, i.e. as a separate spending unit, so that the funds paid by employers are actually used by those for whom these funds are intended. Employers are from 23 From May 2009 to May 25, 2013, 21.186.622 euros were paid in the name of a special contribution for the employment of persons with disabilities, and that all was spent on the implementation of the program of professional rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities, as a program activity of the Institute. 1.319.620 euros", it was announced from that party.
They note that the Fund, in fact, does not exist, but only serves to collect contributions from employers.
Director of the Association of Disabled Youth, Marina Vujačić, said that the organization supports the initiative.
"We expect that, with our experience and knowledge in that area, we will influence the quality definition of the provisions of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments and Amendments to the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, so that finally, after five years of unintended spending, the funds will be spent in order to improve the conditions for employment of persons with disabilities and the employment process itself, and not as previously unknown purposes".
