The Bosniak Party (BS) is preparing for an independent appearance in the upcoming elections in Podgorica, but is also open to discussions about a possible alliance with other political subjects, said the official of that party, Suljo Mustafić.
He reminded that the BS also participated independently in the previous elections in Petnjica and Ulcinj, and will also participate in the elections in Berane, which will be held in March.
"It is our general position to confirm the legitimacy of an authentic representative in local elections, which we also did at the state level a little over a year ago," Mustafić told the MINA agency.
In BS, as he stated, they did not think about possible pre-election alliances.
"But if there is interest from certain political entities, we do not rule out the possibility of talks," said Mustafić.
He reminded that the elections in Podgorica have not yet been announced and that it is not known when they will be held.
"So far, we have not had any talks about a pre-election alliance with any party or political group, but we do not rule out the possibility of talks if one of them expresses interest," said Mustafić.
He did not want to comment on the agreement between the Social Democratic Party and Positive Montenegro on joint performance in Podgorica, stating that every political entity on the political stage has the opportunity and right to evaluate the way they act and perform in the elections.
"In that sense, we would not particularly comment on anyone's decision, not even this one of SDP and Pozitivna. We have not received any invitation for an interview from them, we don't even know what their program goal or concept is," explained Mustafić.
He said that BS will respond to the invitation to talk with those political groups, if they show interest.
"BS will respond to the invitation to talk, first of all for the purpose of getting to know their goals, program concept and vision of functioning and development of the Capital City", said Mustafić.
