Cetinje Parliamentary Forum (CPF), which will discuss strengthening the control role of the Assembly over the defense and security sector, will be held in Budva over the next two days.
As announced, the forum will be opened by the Vice President of the Assembly, Suljo Mustafić.
The organizer of the CPF, in which more than 50 parliamentarians from the region will participate, is the Parliament of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Center for Security, Development and Rule of Law.
"The CPF represents an indigenous regional initiative of the parliamentary cooperation of Southeast European countries on the way to European integration and is an important form of encouraging and promoting parliamentary dialogue between the countries of the region," the statement from the parliament states.
It is also stated that the Forum is a type of initiative that encourages and promotes parliamentary dialogue between the countries of the region.
"The goal of the CPF is to improve cooperation, transfer knowledge and experience and strengthen ties for the sake of continuity and expansion of parliamentary cooperation and diplomacy in the region, improvement of bilateral and multilateral ties, and bringing together representatives of legislative institutions in countries that share a common historical and cultural heritage, but also the European perspective," explained the parliament.
