Today, the Ulcinj Assembly adopted a unanimous decision on the shortening of the mandate at an extraordinary session, which created all the preconditions for calling extraordinary elections in that municipality. The initiative to shorten the mandate was submitted by OO DPS on October 28, and was signed by 21 councilors, out of a total of 33, which are the Ulcinj parliament. In the explanation of the request for convening an extraordinary session, it is stated that extraordinary elections are necessary due to bureaucratic slowness, insufficiently strong cooperation, inefficient application of laws, lack of planning documentation, inadequate investment in sustainable development, underutilization of resources, increase in unemployment, drop in citizens' standards and large public expenditures .

As expected, the extraordinary session was marked by numerous discussions and retorts about the work and lack of work of the outgoing government and the opposition, the intrigues and pranks of both, and the malice and envy of the Ulcinj public officials. Little or no words could be heard from the podium about how citizens are doing or how much special elections will cost them in one of the biggest economic crises in the last 20 years or more.

The extraordinary session was marked by numerous discussions and retorts about the work and lack of work of the outgoing government and the opposition, the intrigues and pranks of both, and the malice and envy that plagues the people's representatives of Ulcinj.

"We have the possibility to take over the government, because I have five signatures of the councilors of the position in my pocket who support my initiative to remove Cungu, but you will not do that. It is clear that he is saving someone here, and why and who is doing it, we will see soon", said SNP councilor Andrija Ćetković.

The head of the Ulcinj DPS Ljoro Nrekić said that the current majority came to power through intrigues and deceptions and that his party will not interfere in relations within the ruling coalition.

"After all, you voted for Ćetković to elect Cungu after DPS was left in the lurch. We were against it," Nrekić reminded Ćetković.

The member of DPS Borislav Bašović said that there are no elementary statutory or operational norms for holding the session since the president withdrew all items from the agenda. DUA leader Mehmet Zenka assessed that Cungu had to be in the hall and explain to the councilors and the public what he has been doing for the past two years. His colleague Khadija Đoni said that by not coming to the session, Cunga humiliated the citizens and the parliament.

"He broke the law because he did not submit a work report," she said.

The elections in Ulcinj could be held already at the end of January next year or possibly in the first half of February.

One man aborted the transmission

Sadetin Peričić (BS) said that all councilors must be serious and responsible to the citizens, to come to the legally called session, and that there was no need to cause tensions "because it was about economic, not political issues".

"This was classic legal violence and a demonstration of non-democracy. One employee of the Municipal Assembly can interrupt the transmission of a public service, and we will therefore review his role and functioning, to see whose Radio Bar actually belongs to", added Emin Duraković (PCG).
