In the continuation of the constitutive session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Bar, Mićo Orlandić (62), president of the SD Bar board and member of that party in the Parliament of Montenegro, was elected president of the local parliament today.
By secret ballot, all 28 councilors of the ruling majority - DPS-SD-Biram Bar and BS - were in favor of his election.
Not one of the nine opposition councilors took the ballot, and councilors from URA, DCG, DF, PCG and SDP who were at the session left the hall before voting.
Thanks to the councilors of the ruling coalition for their trust, Orlandić, in his first address from the parliamentary podium, expressed the hope that the SO will work at full capacity on the accelerated development of Bar.
The biography of Orlandić, who was the leader of his party's list in the May local elections, was presented by Dušan Raičević, the leader of the DPS list.
Born in Bar, where he completed primary and secondary school. Orlandić graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. From 1981, he worked in OK SK Bar as an expert-political worker and executive secretary of OK until the Central Committee of SK Montenegro dissolved him in 1989. When the Independent Organization of Communists was founded in Bar in 1990, Orlandić was its president.
In his career, he has been the director of JP Cultural Center Bar, vice-president of the Municipality of Bar and councilor in the Municipality of Bar, director of the Real Estate Administration, minister without portfolio and assistant minister of the interior, member of the Parliament in 1990 and since 2012.
The member of the Democrats Dragan Tufegdžić said that the members of the "Bar for the 21st Century" coalition consisting of the Democratic Black Mountain and the Citizens' Movement URA will leave the assembly hall before the vote.
"Were the people in Bar blackmailed to vote for the government in the elections? Are you from the ruling coalition proud of the mandates you won, if you have any humanity - you are not. We will not even say "no" in voting for the president of the SO A wave of changes will soon come to Montenegro and Bar, much faster than you think. And you only think that this is your solid government in Bar. You will laugh just a little longer, because other winds are blowing from Europe, your armchairs will also sway and your value system," Tufegdžić told the councilors of the government, who then left the hall with his colleagues.
Replicating Tufegdžić, the holder of the "Biram Bar" list, Radomir Novaković Cakan, said that one can run away all his life, but "one cannot escape from the fact that work and effort pay off".
"The group of citizens "Biram Bar" did not deceive anyone. We work for the interest of the citizens of Bar, and it is not in their interest to leave the assembly hall, but to talk in it. You are mistaken, the elections also showed that," said Novaković.
Vasilije Lalošević (SNP) said that no one disputes the absolute power in Bar, asking if it is a "real thing" that only 52 percent of voters turned out in this city.
"Was there abuse of government instruments and pressure on the citizens, where is the other half of Bar? We should not spread and create busies from the first session, busies and trenches do no one any good. My leaving the hall before the vote is a voice of revolt that this It's not the Bar I was hoping for," said Lalošević.
