Today's action by representatives of the coalition of Democratic Montenegro and the Civic Movement URA at the constituent session of the Assembly of the Capital City is an indication that this alliance is not a serious political entity, according to the board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Capital City.
"The URA-Democrats coalition, instead of taking responsibility for the defeat in the elections in Podgorica, for the lies they told, for another deception of the voters about how they have an advantage, and with today's action in the Assembly of the Capital City, show that they are not a serious political entity, but a coalition that for his failures, he blames everyone, from the citizens, through the media, to the institutions of the system, that is, everyone except himself. Those who have not gone to work for two years and receive thousands of euros a month, transfer the same system to local parliaments, where they expect a councilor's fee and they do not participate in the work of the Assembly or its bodies, offering unsustainable justifications. This is their attitude towards Podgorica, and for that reason, the citizens gave them the lowest rating in the elections," according to the DPS.
According to the DPS, the Democrats and URA have shown their attitude towards Podgorica.
"Those who have not gone to work for two years, and receive thousands of euros per month, transfer the same system to local parliaments, where they expect a councilor's fee, and do not participate in the work of the Assembly or its bodies, offering unsustainable excuses. This is their attitude towards Podgorica, and the citizens gave them the lowest rating in the elections for that. Even without their presence, the Assembly of the Capital City confirmed today that the local administration will continue the policy of development of the Capital City. It is the policy that won the largest number of mandates that we have today verified. Therefore, the citizens gave us the best rating for our work so far, a strong trust and obligation to continue to develop our capital in the future four-year period as a European, modern metropolis tailored to the citizen. All those who do not want such a Podgorica, as a coalition of URA-Democrats , neither the Assembly nor the citizens of Podgorica will miss it," reads the press release of the DPS board in the capital.
