The fact that Positive Montenegro gave up the race for the presidential chair gives DPS candidate Filip Vujanović a better chance to win already in the first round, political analyst Miloš Bešić told Antena M.
Bešić explains that Pozitivna voters will choose between Vujanović and independent candidate Miodrag Lekić.
"The situation in the eyes of the voters of Positive Montenegro when it comes to Vujanović and Lekić is somewhere 50-50. But 50 percent of the votes of the voters of Positive Montenegro for Vujanović could mean that he crosses the 50 percent limit in the first round, and that is not the case with Lekić. If we speak in the language of numbers, the absence of Mr. Pajović increases the chances of Vujanović winning in the first round."
Bešić believes that Darko Pajović gave up his candidacy for the presidency solely for financial reasons.
"Perhaps Pajović could go to the elections in a way to play some kind of campaign without paid advertisements. But this is something that Positive Montenegro is not used to its voters, it has used them to a pompous, media-attractive campaign that costs money. Or you will remain like that which is - and that costs, and you don't have the money, or you will be something that you are not, and then it costs even more."
The candidates for the presidential elections to be held on April 7 are Filip Vujanović, Miodrag Lekić and Rade Bojović.
