Officials of the Democratic Front, Nebojša Medojević and Milan Knežević, will submit a criminal complaint to the special prosecutor for organized crime due to "conspiratorial actions of a group of suspected persons over a long period of time, in the planning and implementation of serious crimes against basic human rights and freedoms during the election process".
Medojević and Knežević told the "News" that they have reasonable doubts that the director of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) Rade Vojvodić, the dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) Sonja Tomović-Šundić, as well as the professor at the FPN Miloš Bešić "knowingly organized a criminal organization , together with an unknown person from DPS and SDP, as well as an unknown person high operative of ANB with the aim of influencing the free will of the citizens of Montenegro in the elections."
"This criminal organization had a clear material motive for carrying out this illegal act and the acquisition of illegal profits, because Vojvodic illegally and without a tender entered into a deal with FPN and Bešić," their statement reads.
They also state that the particularly aggravating circumstance "is that the members of this organization" included FPN students, who they brought into risky situations by the fact that they could become the object of citizens' dissatisfaction and suspicion because they were asked to answer questions about who they voted for.
According to them, Bešić, during the election process, 15 minutes after the closing of the polling stations, "published false data for the election results of the DF."
"Thus, they clearly prove that there was an intention to manipulate the public and put additional pressure on the members of the election committees from the opposition, especially the DF, and to spread false information that the DPS-SDP-LP won."
In this way, it is stated in their announcement, they tried to cause panic among the members of the polling committees from the DF and to create conditions for the members of the DPS-SDP-LP to corrupt or frighten them, so that they would leave the polling stations.
Medojević and Knežević demand that the special prosecutor for organized crime immediately open an investigation and find out who is behind, as they said, "such gross attacks on the basic human rights of citizens, endangering the electoral process and manipulating information that turned out to be false."
"This is not the first time that the self-proclaimed analyst Bešić acts as part of regime propaganda in order to create false information about the rating of political parties and to do dirty work for DPS and SDP," they stated in a joint statement.
"We haven't heard a word of apology from them or from RTCG, who, using a completely untested method that we condemned during the day, confused the public."
Officials of the DF also said that this is the first time since the introduction of multi-party system that "in such a brutal way together with RTCG and FPN they are trying to influence the election day itself and endanger the election process": "The state prosecutor will easily find out which financial resources works and why the director of RTCG gave this criminal job to Bešić and FPN".
DF official Goran Danilović said that the alliance expects an apology from certain media and analysts, pointing out that Bešić's forecasts said that DF would get about 15 percent, while they, he said, won about 23,8 percent of the vote.
"We haven't heard a word of apology either from them or from RTCG, which, using a completely unverified method that we condemned during the day, confused the public in the beginning," said Danilović.
