The "Serbian coalition", whose electoral list was not accepted by the State Election Commission (SEC), should have won two seats in Kolašin, claims Saša Dragović from that coalition. As stated in Dragović's press release, the SEC and the Constitutional Court, "trampling all legal norms, prevented the "Serbian Coalition" from participating in the elections".
"Given that the request to challenge our list was submitted by the Democratic Front (DF), the Democrats, the Socialist People's Party (SNP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and accepted by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), it is clear that a very principled, although one would think an unnatural coalition, all with the aim of preventing us from participating in the election race. Regardless of the fact that we have submitted identical supporting documentation to the municipal election commissions in Podgorica and Bijelo Polje and we participate in local elections without any problems, in Kolašin we are denied the opportunity to decide on the exercise of local authority," claimed Dragović, who was supposed to be the holder electoral lists of the "Serbian Coalition".
According to him, that coalition, which he leads in Kolašin, should, according to research and based on the campaign, be the "tip on the scales" and decide on the formation of the government in Kolašin.
"Everything we would do would be directed for the good of the city, determined to prevent the intention of both the pre-tenders to the booty of the authorities in Kolašin to turn our city into a village. The "Serbian Coalition" will continue to operate in Kolašin, because that is what people who trust us and give us unequivocal support ask us to do. That is why we call on our supporters to persevere on the political course that we have outlined and to soon constitute all the bodies of the Municipal Board at the Parliament in that city, with the aim that an honorable idea that we will not give up, not only survives, but also strengthens," Dragović's announcement reads. .
He recalls that, as he says, he prevented the construction of a mini hydropower plant at the source of Morače, "while the local government was silent and invoked lack of jurisdiction".
"We were not for sale when DPS and Citizens' Group were blackmailing citizens. The promise of the President of the Municipality of Kolašin, Željka Vuksanović, that she would imprison individuals from the previous government was not fulfilled. "She clearly stated that none of the payments from the concessions went to the account of the Municipality of Kolašin, nor did they follow the local communities, on whose territory they were built," claimed Dragović.
He invited all local political leaders to a public debate. Dragović claims that the participation of the "Serbian Coalition" in the local elections in Kolašin was very significant.
"Jobs are not obtained by cutting down forests and in party offices, but by concrete projects that we prepared through our association, which neither the local government nor the state government supported," concludes Dragović.
