Group of voters: The current ruling coalition in Kolašin is leaving

The attitude of the current Kolasin government towards the city, its needs and citizens, according to the Group of Voters (GB), can best be seen by the state of communal infrastructure, the state of streets in the city, public lighting and other communal facilities. GB says that the current ruling coalition in that city is outgoing.

"All over the city, the stone haberdashery that separated the streets from the pedestrian zone is broken and out of order. What public areas in the city look like can be seen at every step. Where are the road signs and where are the tourist and traffic signals? Why couldn't the children's furniture near the Municipality building, as well as the furniture next to the promenade on Lug, be repaired? Do we need any large funds for that?" - they ask from GB.

According to them, "in the strict center of the city, where the Municipality previously built 50 apartments with the Ministry of Education and where there are three more residential buildings and several individual residential buildings, nine months of the year it is inaccessible because of water and mud".

"For the past four years, the current incompetent government did not even think to arrange that part located in the central city core. The citizens of Kolašin know what the streets in the city look like and in what condition they are, but it is surprising to tourists who come to this tourist center and wonder if this city has a local government and a communal company. How were the streets cleaned during the last four winters? Why were the Kolašin settlements and villages impassable for pedestrians and vehicles whenever it snows? How is it that with the same machinery, Kolašin was more passable and its villages more accessible in February 2012, when a record two meters of snow fell, compared to the "disasters" of the last four years. It is necessary to state that the biggest disaster for Kolašin was precisely the current government." - writes in the GB statement.

They ask "why the 100 meters of the washed away dam on Bećova Bara and the place upstream between the two bridges on the Tara River have not been repaired, and how bad the roads are in Vranještica, Bara Kraljski, Rovci, Gornja Morača, Prekobrđ, they claim, only the locals know."

"It is known that the mayor allocated 160 euros for 200 kilometers of local roads, 200 kilometers of uncategorized roads and nearly 35 kilometers of Katun roads, which is less than what she allocated in the budget for herself and her cabinet. Why hasn't a single street in the city been done? What is the state of the city market and when was the last time someone from the local government reminded that it was not for the purpose of political marketing these days? What did the feuding coalition do with the promised jobs and new factory facilities? Did they realize anything from what they outlined in their programs and what they promised to the citizens of Kolašin? What about the huge and pompously announced projects emphasized by the mayor's cabinet? "Professional staff" were hired for the purposes of writing those projects, whose only job for four years, and especially these days, was to slander and insult people from GB, hidden under fake names on news portals and social networks."

The GB also asks "why the decision on salaries was not made at the session of the Municipal Assembly (SO)". And, "why, in the decision on the legalization of the buildings, repayment is foreseen for five years and not much more?"

"Why does the draft of that decision include a mortgage on those buildings? That it is not, in fact, a project to confiscate buildings and property of the citizens of Kolašin? Why did the budget for 2016 fail at the Constitutional Court, while noting that the budget for 2017 is also before the Constitutional Court? Because of whose negligence and disrespect for the law, about 4 euros were paid to former workers and their lawyers from the budget for the past 500 years, and another million euros are pending in court proceedings. On this basis alone, and with such reckless behavior of the mayor and her legal "experts", the debt of the municipality increased by 000 million euros," the GB press release says.

They claim that these days the citizens of Kolašin are asking too many such and similar questions and "it is clear that they will not allow further deterioration of that town and village." It is clear and felt at every step, writes the GB announcement, "that unprincipled coalitions and politicians who do not fulfill their promises, people who promote personal hatred and political tensions, will never again be in a situation to rule Kolašin".
