As announced on the official profile of the Government of Montenegro, Prime Minister Duško Marković met today in Skopje with Haradinaj.
At the meeting, it was assessed that the relations between the two countries are excellent and that there is a need to work on the development of infrastructure.
The Government's announcement states that the meeting also concluded that the two neighboring and friendly countries have no outstanding issues.
"The Prime Ministers expressed their willingness to cooperate in infrastructure projects, in particular the road route Rožaja-Dečana and the railway project from Pljevlja via Bijelo Polje to Kosovo. Haradinaj congratulated Marković on the outcome of the Montenegrin presidential elections, assessing that it is good for the stability of the entire region ", it is written in the announcement of the Government of Montenegro.
The Government also announced that Marković participated in the working meeting of the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for foreign and security policy, Federica Mogherini, with the leaders of the countries of the Western Balkans in Skopje.
"During the regular meeting of the leaders of the region and the high representative of the EU, the report of the European Commission on the countries of the region published yesterday was discussed. It was established that the European perspective of the Western Balkans was strengthened by the recommendation for the opening of negotiations with the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Macedonia and that this decision of the European Commission represents an incentive for integration processes ", the Government announcement states.
The announcement adds that the Presidents of the Governments of Montenegro Duško Marković, Ana Brnabić of Serbia, Edi Rama of Albania, Ramus Haradinaj of Kosovo and Zoran Zaev of Macedonia, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić and Mogerini stated that the regular meetings of the leaders of the Western Balkans Six and the coordination of policies have already given results in the form of an increased level of consensus and trust regarding the key issues of European integration in the Region.
"It has been assessed that the upcoming Summit in Sofia as well as the meeting of the European Council represent the next important events for the European perspective of the Western Balkans," the Government's announcement reads.
