The Budva Democrats told the mayor of Budva, Marko Bata Carevic, that the government in Budva is and will be in the interest of the citizens, and there will be no government against DPS, Milo Đukanović and Duško Marković.
Tsarević: I'm not interested in party cards, everyone who left the collegium will be sanctioned >>>
We transmit the reaction in its entirety:
"Considering that in your reaction you refer to principles, we owe you and the public to remind you of some that you obviously forgot when you came to office. First, before the 2016 elections, the members of the current government in Budva signed a document in which they committed themselves to no cooperation and coalition with the DPS. We remind you that it is your signature on behalf of DF on that document. Furthermore, none of the managers who left the collegium today, even after you told them "that if they don't agree, they can leave", did not violate the law, so we don't know why the mention of law and order? Also, we now publicly say that there will be no sanctions, and if by any chance some procedure is initiated or anyone is harassed or degraded in any way, consider that you do not have the support of Democratic Montenegro in the Budva Municipal Council from that day on. You can take us to our word here, Mr. President, and you have already made sure that we keep our word!
After coming to power, we treated the DPS officials we found in positions correctly and humanely and did not engage in level-headedness. Everyone who was not questionable, from the aspect of the law and the affairs that rocked Budva, and who did their job, got the chance and opportunity to work and contribute. Only they could not stay in management positions. We emphasize that we are not interested in who votes for whom and other personal preferences, but DPS officials, like Miss Baštrica, simply cannot be in the innermost circles of decision-making in the Municipality of Budva.
Mr. President, you have wrong information that we illegally put people out of work. On the contrary, a large number of people still work in the municipality today. A very small number of people complained and initiated proceedings, and one of them was exactly Miss Baštrica. After all, if it was because you didn't stand up for their protection then? You participated in the government even then. No, back then you were worrying about other, party concerns!
So, there was no revanchism. Almost all the secretaries from DPS that we found are still working in the municipality. There are almost no disputes, and so far they have not cost the citizens of Budva a single cent! You have to suggest to the advisor who is writing your response that he better hide his resignation and hatred towards the Democrats! Also, when you mention politicization and expertise, do you want to say that the people who are now and in the last two years in office are unprofessional and politically appointed, so now you have decided to implement depoliticization and improve expertise with personnel from the top of the DPS? First, you say that the court overturned the decisions and reinstated the respected lady. However, today you are telling the truth that it was done by the Appeals Commission. The Appeals Commission annulled the decision and sent it back to the first-instance branch for re-decision for formal reasons. It's nothing dramatic, and, certainly, neither is the Appeals Commission "the highest body of the state", Mr. President!
You say that the two secretaries were illegally elected. Although we are not aware of this, we must draw your attention to the fact that these are your colleagues who do their work honestly and professionally, and have results behind them. If the Commission (the highest body of the state) said so, then it must be so! As for the position that respected Miss Baštrica is a "personnel", we are of the opinion that she is not that necessary for the Municipality, which is confirmed by the results achieved in the previous two years. For example, she can hardly advise her colleague Odžić, because his results, in the place she covered, are much, much better in all areas, from tax collection to financial management. Also, Budva is a record holder in real estate tax collection. Last year we collected over 13 million euros. This is a result that Miss Baštrica and DPS can only dream of. Here, last year in Podgorica they charged "only" 9 million euros. We believe that speaks volumes for everyone. In addition, the results of the example of Marko Marković in regulating and improving taxi transportation in Budva, subsidizing farmers or female entrepreneurship.
We consider it humiliating that she deals with WTE, because she was in charge of monitoring the implementation of that contract, so while invoices and problems piled up, she and the entire DPS authority in Budva "pretended to be dead". Today, it is precisely because of them, including Miss Baštrica, that we find ourselves in these difficult problems that this government is solving with enormous efforts, while we are all the time under political attacks by DPS Budva, of which Miss Baštrica is a high-ranking member. Don't talk to us about pohara, Mr. Tsarević. We, whom you call dilettantes, have struggled for the last two years, of course, together with our respected colleagues, "pulling" Budva out of the abyss into which it was pushed by the DPS and your adviser!
In the end, Mr. President, the basic principle and condition of all the conditions of our political activity is the fight against the DPS and the disempowerment of the OKG DPS wherever possible. Accordingly, if in Budva we should now "all work as one party" with DPS, that is not acceptable for us! That position has been monolithic and crystal clear since the very formation of the Democrats in 2015 until today. We said clearly and loudly: this is and will be a government that works in the interest of the citizens of Budva and Montenegro, and there will be no government against Milo Đukanović, Duško Marković and DPS!
Anyone who wants to go with DPS is free to go ahead, we can't participate in that!"
