The main committee of the Democratic Union of Albanians decided last night to support DPS candidate Milo Đukanović in the April 15 presidential elections.
"DUA and DPS have been building their partnership since 1997, and this decision of ours is a natural sequence of our cooperation so far. Likewise, Montenegro will face numerous challenges in the future, on the way to reaching European and Western standards. In order to achieve this, it needs stability and looking ahead, and the best guarantor of the stability and progress of Montenegro is Đukanović," reads the DUA announcement.
It is added that at the session of the Main Board it was decided that DUA would activate its party infrastructure during the upcoming presidential campaign and thus make its contribution to the sure victory of Đukanović in the first round of the presidential elections.
Đukanović was previously supported by Fatmir Đeka's Democratic Party.
