A member of the Main Board of the Civic Movement URA, Hajruš Kalač, accused the Islamic Community of gathering support for the Bosniak Party (BS) and the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) through funerals in Rožaj.
Kalač announced yesterday that "call religious persons" who, as he claims, are the biggest leaders of the BS campaign in Rožaje, anyone who does not support DPS and BS is characterized as being neither a Bosniak nor a Muslim. "It would be a good idea to explain to the people from the religious manipulators who is not a Bosniak today or who is not a true representative of Bosniaks and Muslims today. How come they are suddenly calling for unconditional support for the DPS," Kalač said in a statement.
He also claims that it is a morbid thing that the Islamic community sends a representative of the Islamic community (imam) to the funerals of socially vulnerable cases in Rožaje. "While at the funerals of wealthier citizens, the Islamic community sends more representatives with the intention of corrupt and extortion activities that benefit BS and DPS," Kalač announced.
The head of the Islamic Community, Rifat Fejzić, did not respond to the call of "Vijesti" yesterday and the question whether IZ sends more representatives to the funerals of wealthy citizens with the intention of gathering support for the parties of Rafet Husović and Milo Đukanović. Even BS did not respond to the question of whether votes are collected for them at funerals.
"According to the testimony of many Rožaj residents from the diaspora, the interest group of Rafeto Husović and Milo Đukanović visited the more successful Rožaj Bosniaks in the diaspora in the last election campaign in order to collect funds of several million euros. Part of the money is put by the interest group in their own pockets, and part of the money is being manipulated by the poor of Rožaj in order to vote for them," said Kalač.
Earlier, Fejzić was accused by the Bosnian cultural community, led by Hazbija Kalač, of having a BS membership card, but Reis denied this.
Kalač claims that Husović is collecting money in the diaspora
Kalač also claims that representatives of BS, or as he calls them, "green DPS" have been active in the diaspora these days. "Even the president of that party, Rafet Husović, and that they are collecting money from emigrants for pre-election activities and in a dishonorable way they are persuading the diaspora to vote," said Kalač. BS "Vijesta" did not even answer the question of whether Husović went abroad to collect money for the campaign and lobby for BS votes.
