The civil movement URA submitted today, on the basis of the Law on Free Access to Information, requests for the delivery of information to the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Dragan Đurović, and the Executive Director of the Montenegro Airport, Danilo Orlandić, it was announced from this party.
"The requests concern the search for additional information and documents related to the issue of air traffic safety and the condition of the runway at Tivat Airport. The public learned about the catastrophic condition of the runway at Tivat Airport yesterday when the URA disclosed the Agency's official document - Report on the inspection of the physical characteristics of Tivat Airport", announced from URA.
In URI, they express concern "due to the irresponsible behavior of the airport management, but also due to the fact that the CAA confirmed in a statement to the media yesterday that for a year nothing has been done to repair the damage and correct the irregularities from their report."
"Therefore, in the requests for access to information signed by the executive director, Zoran Mikić, the URA requests from the Agency 10, and from the Airport of Montenegro 22, information and documents. Among other things, the URA requests: a plan of corrective measures of the Airport of Montenegro, which they were obliged to make in accordance with the Report CAA; information on the measures and actions taken by the Airports and the Agency to eliminate the irregularities recorded in the aforementioned Report; fines imposed by the CAA on the public company Airports of Montenegro for non-compliance based on the order issued by the Agency's inspector, information and documents that speak about the state of Tivat Airport's PSS...", it was announced
URE also posed public questions to the director of the Civil Aviation Agency:
"Can Dragan Đurović guarantee that landings and air traffic at Tivat Airport are safe? Is the document that was disclosed to the public yesterday authentic? How many fines did the Agency of Airports of Montenegro impose for non-compliance with the orders from the inspection supervision? Is the management By not complying with the Agency's Report, the Airport of Montenegro called into question the safety of passengers at Tivat Airport? Is a thorough reconstruction of the runway at Tivat Airport necessary? What measures and actions have you taken to fulfill the conclusions and recommendations from your Agency's Report? Finally, they say they expect answers in the shortest possible time, because as they emphasize, "this is an issue of considerable importance for the reputation of Montenegro and the protection of people", said the URA.
