A special group of deputies in the Parliament of Montenegro requested the formation of a Committee that would deal with examining the consequences of the NATO bombing in 1999 on the health of Montenegrin citizens.
The proposed decision on the formation of the Board was submitted to the parliamentary procedure.
The president of the special club of deputies, Aleksandar Damjanović, said that they have formalized something that is an obligation of this state and parliament.
"20 years after the NATO aggression, we still have dilemmas related to the impact of bombing on the health of the population," said Damjanović.
He said that they are doing something that has already been done in NATO countries, such as Italy.
"Given that Montenegro has experienced bombing in several locations ... and bearing in mind the shocking facts about the increase in the number of cancer patients in Montenegro in the last 20 years, there is a need for the parliamentary temporary committee to deal with this issue," he said. Damjanović.
