Prime Minister Duško Marković allocates 58 euros per month for membership fees to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), while Deputy Prime Ministers Rafet Husović and Minister without portfolio Marija Vučinović do not pay membership fees to the parties they lead.
According to salary data for February, published on the website of the General Secretariat of the Government, Marković receives 1.887 euros, and 58 euros are deducted from his salary to help the party, in which he is the deputy president. Secretary General Nataša Pešić, who receives 1.390 euros per month, helped the ruling party with 43 euros in February, while her assistant Nikola Dedeić allocated 40 euros for DPS. According to the General Secretariat, Dedeić's salary is 1.287 euros.
With a special decision on the amount of membership fees, the elected officials of DPS at the state and local level are obliged to allocate three percent of their net earnings every month. The decision also stipulates that officials who represent the party in administrative committees, councils or boards of directors must set aside seven percent of their salary per month. The Law on Financing of Political Entities stipulates that party membership fees may not amount to more than 10 percent of earnings.
According to the data of the General Secretariat, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin allocates 48, out of 1.557 euros of salary, to the party per month. Pažin is a member of the Main Board of DPS.
The ruling party is supported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System and Minister of Agriculture Milutin Simović with 52 euros per month. Simović's salary is 1.690 euros, and the Minister of Agriculture is a member of the Presidency and Main Board of DPS.
Judging by the data of the General Secretariat, the leader of the Bosniak Party, Rafet Husović, does not allocate money for the party membership fee from his 1.575 monthly income. The decision on membership fees stipulates that a member of BS, who is in a state position, must allocate three percent of his salary to the party.
Based on the same decision, Husović, like the other members of the presidency, set aside another five euros per month for the party. With that decision, it was determined that GO members allocate three euros per month, municipal committees two, and membership one euro each. Minister without portfolio Marija Vučinović, whose salary is 1.680 euros, does not set aside her monthly income for her membership fee to the Croatian Citizens' Initiative (HGI), but instead helps the party with 12 euros a year.
Unlike the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, in the reports on monthly income, the other ministers from the DPS did not announce how much they are allocating to help the party. The DPS party bodies include, among others, the Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić, the Minister of Defense Predrag Bošković, the Minister of Public Administration Suzana Pribilović and the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović. The Statute of the DPS states that "a party member who does not pay membership fees for six or more months cannot be elected to party and other positions arising from the mandate of the party."
Simović's advisers help DPS
