"Biram Bar", a member of the local ruling coalition and one of the youngest Montenegrin parties, will hold its first congress on Sunday, July 7, in the ceremonial hall of the SO Bar.
The party's PR department announced that about 200 delegates will decide at the Congress, who will elect the president, vice-presidents and members of the party's presidency, members of the Main Board, the Statutory Commission and the Supervisory Board.
"The delegates will also adopt the Amendments and Supplements to the Party Statute, as well as the program declaration that will determine the direction of the party's activities in the pre-election period," the announcement concludes.
By the way, on May 27, at the commemoration of one year since the participation in local elections in May 2018, when the then Citizens' Group "Biram Bar" won five mandates in the local parliament and a place in the ruling coalition in Bar, the founder of this political group and the current vice-president of the Municipality of Radomir Novaković Cakan announced for the first time that the congress will be of great importance for the future of the "Biram Bar" party.
"We still have a lot of work and challenges, and I see a lot of room for our party, not only in Bar, but tomorrow, after the parliamentary elections, in Montenegro as well. Very soon, the first "Biram Bar" congress will follow, which will make some important and significant decisions for the future of the party. In the past year, "Biram Bar" has shown that it is possible to be in power and remain one's own, to have one's own opinion on every topic that is discussed in this city," said Novaković at the time.
