After more than eight months, the Bosniak party won back the Municipal Board in Bar. At the OO Assembly, a total of 72 delegates from ten local committees elected by secret ballot the new composition of the Municipal Committee, which now has 41 members.

"In December last year, due to long-term problems in management, functioning and work, GO BS made a decision to dissolve the Municipal Committee in Bar. After that, an Initiative Committee was elected that prepared party elections in all local committees. Member of the Executive Committee and coordinator Damir Gutić of the Presidency of the BS was in charge of all the activities of the preparation of the new party elections", announced the Information Service of the BS.
According to the same statements, Gutić told the Assembly delegates that a lot had been done in a few months to establish a new party base and fundamental reorganization of the BS in Bar, that the well-done work is reflected "in the re-structuring of the BS", and that this party in Bar is on a good path. way to "place the focus that was pushed aside again at the center of our aspirations".
"The party functions as a system again and I think that will be important in the long term, it will lead a responsible policy towards all members, sympathizers and, ultimately, towards the people it represents. We started from the beginning, a new membership base was established, a decision-making system and procedures were established, are local committees as the initial organs of the party. I am convinced that the quality work of the new municipal committee will show good results in the coming period," Gutić pointed out.
BS Vice President Osman Nurković pointed out that he expects BS to show "unity and togetherness, and to strengthen its position in the Bar and at all levels".
"I am sure that the formation of a new board will strengthen the BS in Bar, and that the problems from before will be behind us. Surely the BS is recognized as a serious political entity of our people, at all levels, and I expect that it will gain even greater trust from the citizens. So far BS has done a lot to affirm strategic state interests, but also to strengthen the position of Bosniaks. Investments in underdeveloped parts of the country, in the north, infrastructure construction and many strategic projects that are realized through the Government, are part of our program since the foundation of BS. We have significant potential in Bar for growth, and we should take advantage of that in the first parliamentary elections. Through serious work and good organization in the Bar and in other municipal committees, we can have at least three and maybe four parliamentary mandates. This result would mean that a government cannot be formed without BS "Participation in government at the state level in the next mandate will mean good continuity and establishment in all state institutions and great benefits for our people and the membership of the BS," concluded Nurković.
