ODT is still monitoring Rocen's conversations

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) is still investigating the committed criminal acts or one, during the publicly released telephone conversations of the advisor to the President of the State and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Milan Roćen.

When asked about the stage of the case regarding Roćen's publicly released telephone conversations and whether he gave a statement to the prosecution, the ODT replied to "Vijesti" that in the interests of the investigation, which is ongoing, they cannot provide more information for the time being:

"Reconnaissance is underway. In the interests of reconnaissance, we cannot provide more information at this time."

The Prosecutor's Office previously filed a case regarding Rocen's conversations with several politicians and businessmen, which probably date back to 2005 and 2006, when he was the ambassador of the state union in Russia.

Neither then nor in their response to "Vijesta" did they explain whether they were checking whether there were any criminal acts in Rocen's actions or the media that reported them.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mevludin Nuhodžić, previously said in the Parliament that the police will continue with hearings regarding the publication of recordings of telephone conversations and that the police investigation so far has established that there are no elements of criminal acts in the published recordings.

"In the mentioned actions, there are no elements of a criminal offense, the prosecution of which is undertaken ex officio. At the request of the prosecutor's office, police measures and actions are taken and a case has been established on the circumstances of the creation of the video, and the hearings and collection of evidence will continue with the aim of elucidation," he said in July.
