The municipal committee of the Bosniak party Rožaje elected Husein Kurtagić as the new chairman of the committee, it was announced from this party.
Kurtagić was elected unanimously, and succeeded Rahman Husović as chairman of the board.
At the board meeting held yesterday in Rožaje, the resignations of Husović from the post of board president and Ejup Nurković from the post of president of the municipality of Rožaje, which were previously adopted by the BS presidency, were confirmed.
Kurtagić, after being elected to the position of president of OO BS Rožaje, said that he is ready to cooperate with all well-intentioned people.
"The prosperity of Bosniaks in Montenegro relies on the strength of the Bosniak party. I want a strong Bosniak party, even stronger than it was," said Kurtagić, noting that in the coming period, the implementation of multi-million dollar projects in Rožaj will follow.
From 2011 to 2015, Kurtagić was the head of the board of BS Rožaje, and from 2014-2018. he served as the president of the local parliament.
