The Socialist People's Party (SNP) invited the ambassadors Miodrag Vlahović, Nebojša Kaluđerović and Željko Perović, who paid the fine imposed on the suspended official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mirna Nikčević, to say whether they support her opinion about the majority Orthodox population of Montenegro, due to which she convicted.
The news that the ambassadors paid Nikčević's fine "surprised all free-thinking people in our country," according to the SNP.
"Given that the ambassadors stated that in this way they are helping the single mother and the state of Montenegro from constant attacks on its history, culture and identity, the SNP of Montenegro invites them to say whether they support Nikčević's opinion about the majority Orthodox population of Montenegro with this act was also convicted, and do they think it is correct that the money paid by the citizens is spent on helping a person who has been removed from the diplomatic service because of his behavior and who continues to insult and provoke the faithful people of Montenegro," the SNP statement states. .
They note that ambassadors should be representatives of all citizens, "not political subjects" and that, according to the rule of the diplomatic service, they should not interfere in daily politics. According to the SNP, they "obviously have not mastered that lesson".
"In the end, it is the will of the ambassador to whom the money will be paid, but when Mrs. Nikčević is helped for political and supposedly patriotic reasons, one should ask why they did not remember earlier that there are many single mothers and vulnerable families in Montenegro who need help more". conclude from SNP.
