Businessman Duško Knežević announced that tonight at 22 p.m. on his Instagram account, he will publish the complete recording of "The Envelope" with the current General Secretary of the President of Montenegro and former mayor of Podgorica, Slavoljub Stijepović.
Knežević announced earlier that he would do so before the Congress of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), which will be held on Saturday, November 30.
"Since (Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje) Katnić said that he is an expert in digital marketing, he said that part of the video was cut, that you can only see him taking money, before that and after that there is nothing, so I will allow Katnić to see the whole recording from beginning to end. However, some big things are mentioned there, so let them scratch their heads," Knežević said at the time, answering the question of whether the DPS will publish new compromising evidence against certain high-ranking state officials before the Congress.
Stijepović is under investigation by the Special State Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and money laundering through assistance, after the public had the opportunity to see a video of him taking an envelope from Knežević and putting it in his pocket. Knežević then confirmed that the recording was made in his house and said that he gave 97.500 euros to DPS. The video shows him handing the envelope to Stijepović, who takes it, kisses Knežević and tries to put the envelope in the inside pocket of his jacket.
The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption fined DPS 20.000 euros for illegal financing and ordered the return to the budget of 47.500 euros, which it determined was Knežević's "donation". For the same amount, an investigation was launched against Stijepović, which is still open.
Stijepović is currently a member of the Presidency, the Main Board and the DPS Council.
