Ivanišević took up the post of ambassador in Monaco

Today, Ambassador Ivan Ivanišević handed over his letters of credence to Prince Albert of Monaco, by which he assumed the post of non-resident ambassador of Montenegro in that principality, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

"In a long and open conversation with Prince Albert, the dynamic and continuous development of bilateral relations between Monaco and Montenegro was noted, which was also confirmed in numerous multilateral organizations, but also through regular exchange of visits at the highest level," the statement said.

Ivanišević, as stated, thanked for the constant support that Monaco provides to Montenegro, especially singling out projects in the field of sustainable development financed by the prince's foundation.

He informed the interlocutors about the progress achieved in the context of European integration, with a presentation of the potential for bilateral cooperation.

"The importance of the cooperation of small states was highlighted, with a reminder of the Games of Small States that were held during the summer of 2019 in Budva, and it was emphasized that relations in this context will be further improved through the Conference of the Presidents of the Parliaments of Small States, which will be organized in May in Montenegro," the announcement states.

It is added that, in light of the rich cooperation between the two countries, Prince Albert invited the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, to visit Monaco.
