The President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, sent a telegram of condolence to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the occasion of the death of a large number of people in the strong earthquake that struck the east of the Republic of Turkey, on behalf of the citizens of Montenegro and on his own behalf, with expressions of deepest condolences.
"Montenegro shares the pain and sorrow with the friendly people of Turkey, with the hope for the speedy recovery of the injured and the repair of the destruction in the provinces of Elazig and Malatija. Please convey our sincere condolences to the families of the tragic victims," Đukanović's telegram states.
According to the latest data, at least 20 people lost their lives and more than 1.000 were injured in the earthquake that hit eastern Turkey.
