The Democratic Party of Socialists has a perfidious intention to contaminate the election campaign for the upcoming local elections in Tivat with the topic of churches, which burdened the whole of Montenegro before the New Year.
This was assessed by the president of OO Montenegrin Tivat and member of the Presidency of that party, Goran Božović, commenting on the session of OO DPS Tivat, which was attended two nights ago by the leader of DPS and the president of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović.
The theme of the protest in connection with the Law on Freedom of Religion, which he insisted on adopting, marked this public appearance by Đukanović, as he assessed that the protests that are organized almost daily throughout Montenegro with the aim of enacting that Law, "are aimed at the destruction of Montenegro ", and the thousands of people walking in them, Đukanović urged them not to get involved in what he called a "crazy movement".
"We know that you consider Tivat your bastion, and that the result in these elections means a lot to you in a city that has a serious influx of funds, but also as a psychological influence on the parliamentary elections afterwards. But this time, unlike the previous ones, you will be the victim of your own game. We will not allow you to color the election campaign in Tivat by talking about churches, a topic that is not of vital interest for the functioning of local self-government, and mask your harmful management of the finances of Tivat and the local administration, corruption, party employment and a host of other wrongdoings with which you devastate Tivat," he said. yesterday, Božović told the DPS leader.
In Montenegro, they believe that the DPS, by enacting the Law on Freedom of Religion, succeeded in polarizing Montenegro, awakening the retrograde spirits of the past, and creating "an environment in which primitivism and fanaticism stand out."
"Irrational is above rational, emotions overcome reason, and civil Montenegro is the loser in the channel between chauvinistic factions. In the past month, events have shown that the Montenegrin society has a long way to emancipation and enlightenment, much longer than we thought. At the state level, you managed to completely mask numerous affairs and the adoption of very important documents for the Montenegrin citizen, such as the Budget Law, the Labor Law, Amendments to Electoral Regulations, the revival of the zombie Montenegrin economy of Montenegro Airlines, we in Tivat will not allow you to hide the write-off a debt of 5,6 million euros to Porto Montenegro, 2 million euros lost in Atlas Bank, and numerous lost multimillion-dollar disputes due to ignorance and corruption," said Božović to Đukanović and the leadership of the Tivat DPS.
He emphasized that he will "expose party recruitment down to the last detail, the destruction of local administration, the numerous failures of infrastructure projects that you are proud of before they even begin, as well as corruption, abuse of position, unscrupulous work in the service and other criminal acts of your "prospective" personnel, whom you are by installing it, he blessed this city."
"Be sure that we will place you in the red-hot hell frame of the story of the churches by which you deliberately create social destabilization, in order to personally profit. We believe that it is necessary to resolve the disputed issue with an adequate legal solution, but we point out that you deliberately chose this timing in order to blur the political scene in the election year, and create an environment for new election theft," Božović taunted the DPS members.
He points out that Đukanović's story is full of contradictions and that as someone who radically changed sides and positions, from extreme to extreme, the DPS leader is the least invited to talk about it.
"He was a persecutor of Montenegrins and the CPC, which he now wants to represent, and he was a supporter of the SPC, which he is now persecuting. He was the head of the administration, which in certain cases and under dubious circumstances registered state property to the church or certain church dignitaries, and now he would correct those mistakes. He advocates the separation of religious communities from the state, and then he would restore the church with the party program, which, by the way, was restored for the Montenegrins while he was on the other side. And all that depending on the personal account when it suits him as much as possible. The leaders of the extremist nationally colored political forces, who, in cooperation with Đukanović, are no better than him, trapped all citizens in a dark vilayet with gruesome associations with past times that every normal citizen views with contempt," Božović pointed out.
He believes that the citizens are victims of various manipulations from all sides, and says that "neither the DPS is a legitimate representative of Montenegrins, nor is the DF a legitimate representative of the Serbs, and the people must understand that both do not have sincere intentions and are fighting for their personal interests, arguing people." The Tivat Committee of Montenegro announced that Montenegro "must be a home for all its citizens without distinction, with equal rights, every citizen is the bearer of sovereignty, but also every citizen must show the basic form of respect for the state and its symbols, which are in force, without exception."
They emphasize that they support the right of every citizen to self-determination and the exercise of religious rights as an extremely intimate issue, but also that they immediately condemn "every form of provocation, display of hatred, destruction and chauvinism of any kind, and which comes from any side, whether it is manifested in verbal outbursts, shouts, militant songs, whitewashing of public areas, stoning, or physical confrontations."
Božović emphasized that Montenegro is not thinking about boycotting the upcoming elections in Tivat and told the authorities that manipulations such as are seen these days on the subject of the Law on Freedom of Religion will not pass, and that they will do everything to ensure that without a political struggle "the new a four-year mandate without control, for the pursuit of personal interests at the expense of the local community."
