In Montenegro, it is necessary to start talks between state institutions and all religious communities in order to reduce tensions and preserve the stability of society, it was announced after the talks in Brussels between the leadership of the Bosniak Party (BS) and the President of the European People's Party, Donald Tusk.
As stated, the current political events in Montenegro were analyzed, with special attention to the events that followed the adoption of the Law on Freedom of Religion.
The representatives of BS pointed out the importance of the European path of Montenegro and the strengthening of mutual trust through dialogue on all important issues.
"It was assessed that it is necessary to initiate talks between state institutions and all religious communities, with the aim of reducing tensions and preserving the stability of society," the statement said.
It is necessary, as stated, that all subjects express their readiness for dialogue in the institutions of Montenegro, without influence and interference "from outside".
"It is very important to preserve the achieved democratic values and the civil concept of the state based on pro-Western values," the announcement states.
The BS delegation included vice-president Kemal Purišić, political director Suljo Mustafić and member of the Executive Committee for International Cooperation Sead Šahman.
