Vice-President and Democrat MP Momo Koprivica said that after the resignation of Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, the deepening crisis of the Government and DPS cannot be hidden.
Pejović announced yesterday that he is resigning from his position in the Government.
The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Duško Marković, accepted Pejović's resignation yesterday.
"After the resignation of Minister Pejović, the increasingly pronounced factions and the deepening crisis of the Government, the DPS and the entire regime cannot be hidden. The fact that they made decisions together, but also that they do not bear the consequences of the same decisions together. One man did not grab two public positions solely of his own free will, but the Government made it possible for him by adopting an unconstitutional Decision on the structure of negotiations with the EU, which was contested by 5 Democratic MPs by submitting a proposal to the Constitutional Court for the evaluation of constitutionality A reasonable question arises: why did Marković not say a single word about the immoral and unconstitutional merger of ministerial and other public functions, which was created thanks to a by-law of his cabinet, but left the case of his minister to his friend and relative Radonjić from the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption? Why did Pejović change his mind, and instead of the announced use of legal means, he resorted to a political means, namely the submission of his resignation? Without any hesitation, it is concluded that it is a factional cleansing of the Government under the direction of its Prime Minister. And after the firing of the rector and other managers at the University, this is the second minister to leave Marković's cabinet by submitting his resignation. And this increasing number of flying ministers is proof of the factional cleansing of the Government," said Koprivica.
He said that the reasons and needs are increasingly clear that "the regime and the DPS through their Udba points skillfully produce an anti-opposition campaign in order not to hide the problems, crisis and factions in their ranks and divert the attention of citizens from the catastrophic socio-economic situation."
"The warring currents thereby want to buy both time and better conditions for a final reckoning with each other, and their panic is intensified by the awareness that the path from power to imprisonment is getting shorter. Only naive and irresponsible people can agree to a game in which today anything is more than the fact that the unemployment rate in our country is 22%, that the coverage of imports by exports is only 16%, that the growth rate of consumer prices is the highest in the region, that compensations for mothers and allowances for the children of unemployed parents have been abolished, that the rights of citizens are not respected, that against citizens, they illegally apply secret surveillance measures, etc. It is clear to everyone that the specter faction is circulating the regime, the Government and the DPS. And nothing is over, except for the almost clear and obvious attempts to hide the crises and wars within the regime by heating up the anti-opposition campaign. It is a false illusion that it can be long-lived. The question is whether they will all face factional confrontations in the face of the determination of the candidate for the President of Montenegro, announced since November, as well as the ticket holders for Podgorica and other cities. It is quite clear that the realignment started a long time ago, and now an increasingly pronounced inter-factional showdown and purge is being seen and done," concluded Koprivica.
