The manager of the municipality of Kolašin Veljo Jovanović, one of the coalition partners of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in front of the Citizens Group, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, decided to open his restaurant in Crkvine, probably thinking that the laws and measures do not apply to those who are coalition partners of the DPS, announced is today from the Club of Councilors of Democratic Montenegro Kolašin.
"The state of emergency that befell Montenegro, in addition to affecting all citizens, affected the entire economy and, by all accounts, will leave numerous consequences for our economy. The state authorities constantly call for compliance with the measures they have imposed, however, these measures are clearly not valid for local officials in municipalities where the DPS is in power. To make the paradox even bigger, Jovanović is also a member of the municipal team for protection and rescue, but, obviously, also to save his own business and wallet, even if it was a risk to the citizens of Kolašin." , it is stated in the announcement of the Kolasin Democrats.
They call on Jovanovic to submit his irrevocable resignation from the position of manager of the municipality of Kolašin.
"Since we doubt that he will do that, we call on Milosav Bulatović (president of the municipality of Kolašin) to immediately dismiss Jovanović from the position he holds, as well as to exclude him from the municipal team for protection and rescue, because by his actions he directly endangered the health and safety of citizens. Bulatović would thus showed a sense of responsibility that those who do not respect the Government's measures must bear the consequences and can no longer be part of the leading team," reads the announcement of the Kolašin Club of Democratic Montenegro Councilors.
They also state that they are informing and calling on the Montenegrin Prime Minister Duško Marković to react, because he stated that the measures must be strictly observed and that he will personally follow up on how well they are observed, and that no one will go unpunished.
"Political responsibility or dismissal of Mr. Jovanović at this moment is a logical sequence of events," concludes the announcement of the Kolašin Club of Democratic Montenegro Councilors.
