Kolašin: 35 euros per month for the work of women's organizations in political parties

For the regular work of women's organizations in political parties, represented in the Assembly of the Municipality of Kolašin, slightly more than 3.500 euros will be allocated from the municipal coffers from February until the end of the year.

Women from nine political parties will receive 35 euros per month for the work of their organizations.

The amounts, as written in the explanation of the decision, were determined in accordance with the Law on the Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns.

In the Kolasin local parliament, out of 31 parliamentary seats, 11 are occupied by women. They represent the Democratic Party of Socialists, the Social Democrats, the Group of Voters "Šule and Mikan", Democratic Montenegro in the Framework of the Democratic Front, Nova, the Movement for Changes, the Democratic People's Party, the Socialist People's Party and the Social Democratic Party.

Women are in the minority even in the executive branch. Among the 13 officials, there are only three women - secretaries of the secretariat of general administration and urban planning, Nataša Šuković and Ljiljana Rakočević, and chief administrator Lidija Lašić.
