He reacted to yesterday's announcement by the mayor of the capital, Aleksandar Kašćelan.

"Mayor Kašćelan, I'm sorry that you saw my letter as a political competition because that was really not my intention and that you responded to it purely politically without analyzing the essential importance of the measures that I proposed, which are more than necessary. For the sake of the citizens of Cetinje, we I am sorry that I am forced to publicly exchange views on this matter, but that is because you do not show a willingness to open a dialogue that would include all parliamentary parties, the trade union, the NGO sector and individuals who would have a lot of smart things to say. Appreciating that this is not the moment behind the political bickering, I will not deal with your workplace as you do with mine, nor with the numerous workplaces that surround you and receive salaries at the expense of the citizens of Cetinje even in these months of crisis, but I will ask you a few specific questions", announced Đurašković

Đurašković asked Kašćelan if he knows how many business entities from Cetinje have suspended their activities in accordance with the NKT measures, which are on the verge of survival anyway?

"Do you know how many of our fellow citizens work in the hospitality sector and other sectors whose work has been suspended? Do you know that a good part of them will not be able to receive a salary, pay water, electricity, rent? Do you know how many of our fellow citizens are on the edge of existence? How many are unemployed or how many pensioners receive a pension lower than 150 euros? You don't think that a measure like reducing the communal tax for occupying public space will help someone to survive or save their business? After all, who will pay for it? How do you think that any the restaurateur pays for it when he is closed," Đurašković asks.

He told the mayor that he still has an open opportunity to start a "dialogue on the necessary measures and send a joint initiative to redirect funds from the capital budget of the Law on the Capital City for this purpose, because you and I both know that with good will and agreement, it is nothing problem."
