Cocaine smuggling is the vision of the development of Montenegro according to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), announced today from Democratic Montenegro.
Half a ton of cocaine was seized on the ship "Budva" in the German port of Hamburg.
"If the seizure of cocaine had taken place on a ship of another country, some other structures would have been connected with its smuggling. Mafia, criminal, pirate, robber. In the case of Montenegro, it is a state ship, which was sponsored by none other than the President of the Assembly, Ivan Brajović, and the drugs were transported all by Montenegrin citizens themselves. The strangeness of the fact that it is not a pirate ship, but a state ship, is also spoken of by the reactions coming from international addresses. Among others, the reaction of Doris Pak, who specifically apostrophized the fact that the owner of the ship is the state of Montenegro. In this way, Montenegro further strengthened its image as a Balkan Colombia and confirmed its recognition as a paradise for drug smugglers," the Democrats' statement emphasized.
From that party, they added that instead of being recognized for its beauty, the sea, the mountains, and the economy, it is certain that for some time to come, Montenegro will be recognized for its dictatorial regime, the mafia, drugs, and smuggling.
"Cocaine has established itself as a recognizable export product in Montenegro. Cocaine is our brand, and cocaine smuggling is the DPS vision of the development of Montenegro. Nothing strange for a government that came through smuggling, was created from smuggling and survives on smuggling," the Democrats said.
They stated that the case with the ship "Budva" and before it the case of smuggling on the ship "Jadran" tarnishes the reputation of honorable Montenegrin seafarers for whom this way of profiling the Montenegrin seafaring will certainly make it difficult for them to find employment and advance in the service.
"It cannot be expected that anyone will be held accountable for this. Tourism workers in Montenegro will not go without consequences either, especially in the post-crisis period, because the DPS authorities have obviously decided to build the image of our coast as a drug-tourism destination, which is a unique case in the world. With this event, the last anchor of the Montenegrin shipping was lowered. Of the entire fleet, after all the looting sales and seizures due to drug smuggling, only the drunken ship of the DPS authorities remained," reads the statement of Democrats.
